A2Z's Program Timeline and History

                      From the year 2004 through year 2010

Aim For A 2 Z Inc. is a one-to-one tutoring and mentoring program. It offers high school students and adult volunteers from the community, an opportunity to work in a learning environment with academically challenged students from low-income families.

The program not only helps disadvantaged and needy elementary and middle school children, but also enables high school students to develop community spirit and a giving mind-set, gain leadership experience and an opportunity to work with a diverse group of students. 

                                   Year 2004 

                                                          Fall 2004
                                             (1 evening session per week)

A 2 Z Mentoring Program began operating in Hightstown, New Jersey from September 2004 through December 2004 on a one-to-one basis and benefited needy students academically, in English reading and writing, Math and Science. The program conducted tutoring sessions every Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Students, who registered with A2Z, belonged to Elementary Schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas. These included the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew elementary schools

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from January 2005 through May 2005 in Hightstown, New Jersey. The program was conducted on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Students registered with A2Z belonged to the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew elementary schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas. 

                                                      Summer 2005 
                                                (1 evening session per week)

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated through the summer, from July 2005 through August 2005, for 6 weeks. Our mentors helped needy students academically in English reading and writing, Math and Science. The program conducted tutoring sessions on Wednesday evening, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Students registered with A2Z belonged to Elementary Schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas.

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from September 2005 through December 2005. The program conducted tutoring sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in the East Windsor area, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. The students registered with A2Z belonged to Elementary Schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas. These included the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew elementary schools.

The program conducted tutoring sessions in English reading and writing, Math and Science on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in Hightstown, NJ, and on Wednesday evenings in East Windsor, NJ, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Students registered with A2Z belonged to Elementary and Middle Schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas. These included the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew elementary schools and the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated through the summer, from July 2005 through August 2005, for 6 weeks in the East Windsor area. The program conducted tutoring sessions for needy students in English reading and writing, Math and Science on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from September 2006 through December 2006 in Hightstown on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. benefited needy students academically in English reading and writing, Math and Science. Students registered with A2Z belonged to Elementary Schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas, including the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew and Melvin H. Kreps Middle School. The 3 days evening program operated in Grace Norton Rogers School

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from January 2007 through June 2007 in Hightstown on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and East Windsor on Wednesday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. benefited needy students academically in English reading and writing, Math and Science. Students registered with A2Z belonged to Elementary and Middle Schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas. These include the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew elementary schools and the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School. The 3 days evening program operated in Grace Norton Rogers School.

The Program was also launched in Ewing Twp. NJ, on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and tutored needy students in English reading and writing, Math and Science. Students registered with A2Z came from Lore Elementary School and Parkway Elementary School, Ewing, NJ

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated in East Windsor area for 6 weeks in the summer, from July 2007 through August 2007, on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and benefited needy students academically in their English reading and writing, Math and Science. Students registered with A2Z belonged to Elementary and Middle Schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas, including the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew elementary schools and the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School

                                       (6 evening sessions and 1 morning session per week)

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from September 2007 through December 2007 in the East Windsor area on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm and every Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. The program also operated in Twin Rivers (East Windsor Twp) every Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm

The Program also operated in Ewing Twp, NJ, every Tuesday from 6.30 pm to 8:00 pm benefiting needy students academically in their English reading and writing, Math and Science.

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from January 2008 through June 2008 in East Windsor every Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 6.30pm to 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. The program also operated in Twin Rivers (East Windsor Twp) every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Students registered with A2Z belonged to schools located in the Hightstown and East Windsor areas, including the Ethel McKnight, Walter C. Black, Grace Norton Rogers and Perry L. Drew elementary schools and the Melvin H. Kreps Middle School.

The Program also operated in Ewing Twp, NJ, every Tuesday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Students registered with A2Z came from Lore Elementary School and Parkway Elementary School, Ewing, NJ

Summer 2008

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor, NJ from July 2008 through August 2008. The program operated on Tuesdays and Wednesdays evenings, from 6.30pm to 8pm. About 14 students and 12 mentors registered with A 2 Z. Three supervisors dedicated their time to supervise the students and mentors.

 

Fall  2008

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from September 2008 through December 2008 at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 10.30am to 12pm. A total of 36 students and 36 volunteers registered with A 2 Z

 

The program operated at the Twin Rivers Library in Twin Rivers, NJ on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8pm. 16 students and 16 volunteers registered with A 2 Z.

 

The Program also operated at Ewing Public Library, Ewing, NJ every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm. 8 students and 8 mentors registered with A 2 Z. One supervisor dedicated time to supervise the program.

 

Total of 14 supervisors dedicated their time to supervise the program.

 

Year 2009

 Spring 2009

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from January 2009 through June 2009 at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor on Thursday from 6.30pm to 8pm and Saturday from 10.30am to 12pm. A total of 19 students and 18 volunteers registered with A 2 Z.

 

The program operated at the West Windsor Library, NJ on Tuesday and Wednesday from 6.30pm to 8pm. 8 students and 8 volunteers registered with A 2 Z.

 

The program operated at the Twin Rivers Library in Twin Rivers, NJ on Wednesday and Thursday from 6.30pm to 8pm. 18 students and 18 volunteers registered with A 2 Z.

 

The Program also operated at Ewing Public Library, Ewing, NJ every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm. 8 students and 8 mentors registered with A 2 Z. One supervisor dedicated time to supervise the program.

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor, NJ from July 2009 through August 2009. The program operated on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, from 6.30pm to 8pm. About 17 students and 17 mentors registered with A 2 Z. Three supervisors dedicate their time to supervise the program.

 

 

                                                                          Fall 2009

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated from September 2009 through December 2009 at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor TWP on Thursday from 6.30pm to 8pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 11amd and 11am to 12:30pm. A total of 30 students and 30 volunteers registered with A 2 Z.

 

The program operated at the Twin Rivers Library in Twin Rivers, NJ on Wednesday and Thursday from 6.00pm to 7:30pm. 18 students and 18 volunteers registered with A 2 Z.

 

The Program operated at Ewing Public Library, Ewing, NJ every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm. 7 students and 7 mentors registered with A 2 Z. One supervisor dedicated time to supervise the program.

 

Total of 11 supervisors dedicated their time to supervise the A 2 Z Mentoring Program.

 

                                             Year 2010

A 2 Z Mentoring Program is operated from January 2010 through June second week 2010  at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor TWP on Thursday from 6.30pm to 8pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 11am and 11am to 12:30pm. A total of  33 students and 34 volunteers registered with A 2 Z at present.

 

The program operated at the Twin Rivers Library in Twin Rivers, NJ on Wednesday and Thursday from 6.00pm to 7:30pm. A total of  22 students and 22 volunteers have registered with A 2 Z.

 

The Program also operated at Ewing Public Library, Ewing, NJ every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm. Total 9 students and 9 mentors registered with A 2 Z. Two supervisor supervise the program at present at the Ewing Library.

 

Total of 11 supervisors supervised the A 2 Z Mentoring Program at present.

 

                                                                        Summer 2010

A 2 Z Mentoring Program operated at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor, NJ from July 2010 through August 2010. The program operated on Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm. About 8 students and 8 mentors registered with A 2 Z. Two supervisors dedicated their time to supervise the program.

                                                                                                    Fall 2010
The mentoring program will start from September 14, 2010. A 2 Z Mentoring Program started  from September 2010 and the fall session will end on December 2010 at the East Windsor Library, Hickory Corner Road, East Windsor TWP on Thursday from 6.30pm to 8pm and Saturday from 9:30am to 11amd and 11am to 12:30pm. A total of 32 students and 32 volunteers have registered with A 2 Z.

The program is operating at the Twin Rivers Library in Twin Rivers, NJ on Wednesday and Thursday from 6.00pm to 7:30pm. 22 students and 22 volunteers have registered with A 2 Z.

 

The Program operating at Ewing Public Library, Ewing, NJ every Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm. 7 students and 7 mentors have registered with A 2 Z. One supervisor dedicated time to supervise the program.

 

Total of 11 supervisors are dedicating their time to supervise the A 2 Z Mentoring Program.
